Technology Library
The main idea behind of The Baton Rouge Hub is to use the space as a teaching center that teaches the importance of learning styles. The design of the building will offer spaces that appeal to each unique learning style while teaching and integrating technology. As we incorporate the proper environment and tools needed for each learning type, learning becomes simplified. When learning is simplified, ours lives can become organized and more efficient. The library will target all age groups and generations, showing that learning is for everyone. The library will house specific rooms and equipment for the Visual learning, the kinesthetic learner and the Auditory learner. The library will house a clean, contemporary design using black, white, neutrals and a pop of copper as the color pallet. Stripped, raw, industrial materials like glass, terrazzo, wood, concrete, exposed brick, copper and stone will be found throughout the library. Integrating the latest technology offers a new way of teaching. The simplistic, open floor plan will connect with the concept of simplistic living. The open floor plan with easy understandable circulation will be a main attribute to the simplistic concept. The open space will allow versatility in function, offering public space for special events such as book signing, guest lectures, featured art galleries, business meeting, etc.
